The Commission

The Warren County Mosquito Commission is an autonomous agency within county government. The Commission was established by the Warren County Board of Chosen Freeholders on October 18, 1956.

New Jersey law mandates provision for mosquito control in every county in state as part of the first and best organized mosquito control effort in the nation. The Warren County Mosquito Commission works closely with the NJ Agricultural Experiment Station, Rutgers University and the State of New Jersey (State Mosquito Control Commission, the NJ Department of Health and Senior Services and agencies within the NJ Department of Environmental Protection) as part of a cooperative statewide effort to control mosquitoes.
